I have three dogs, the oldest of which is a 70 pound, 13 year old Springer/Lab mix named Sid. Sid was and continues to be too stubborn to realize his hind legs and hips were failing him whenever we'd go for walks, or he tried to get off of the floor or up the stairs. His stair ability finally left him early this last summer, and he started to look a bit dejected in general. I researched a LOT of supplements desperate to find one to help him. I like many of you reading this read HUNDREDS of testimonials, mostly on the manufacturer's site. What convinced me most was that the liquid form has a much higher absorption rate than the pills. Well, I started Sid on the product in July. Within 2 weeks we notices subtle improvements, mostly that his legs weren't shaking when he was just standing still. After about 90 days we saw the most improvements. We were not unrealistic enough to think he would be cured, but we would have been thrilled if is showed him a greater quality of life in general. It has done that and more. We are so pleasantly surprised at how much more comfortable he seems to be, so much so that he again is RUNNING on our walks to keep up with his younger siblings. Not breaking any land speed records mind you, but full out running! A month later we started our two 10yr old mixed breeds on it, hoping the ounce of prevention theory will work. I am confident it will. Seems pricey but if you love your pet it's worth every penny.
Update 8/14/08 Sid had continued to enjoy a better quality of life with greatly improved mobility. Sadly today he was claimed by advanced heart disease...but I will add that his last 13 months on this product had him still able to climb 4 stairs unassisted, despite his terrible illness. It is my firm belief that Synflex made it so that his legs lasted longer than his heart :( RIP Sidney "Squid" You are terribly missed
