Yes, I know this isn't cheap, but my cat had so many urinary issues that we took him totally of dry food and decided to go as far away from fillers as possible. I don't know if the mother ship came down and replaced our bad little cat who used to pee around the house with an awesome little dude who has a spring in his step and a lot less bulge in the belly, but this food brought out the best in our cat Mekaba. Worth EVERY penny, and he digs the rabbit flavor the best...and it keeps him lean.

Very nice looking and solid bowl, and the non skid band is great. However, the manufactures sticker doesn't come off well at all. I've tried everything and the sticky residue is still there.

I have three cats, and was having trouble finding a dry cat food that all three would eat in between canned food feedings, so I decided to give this one a try. They all three love this food, and it is pretty nutritious for them, and no animal by-products.
I've tried the Salmon flavor to, they don't seem to like it as well as this flavor, but all three eat it.
Overall, this is a great food that most cats will like.

I have been feeding my kitten Wellness canned kitten & adult food (rotating them for variety) but have been seeking a less expensive alternative---without sacrificing quality. While Health Extension is still not by any means inexpensive (hence my not giving it a full five stars), after reading the ingredient list I think it is a fair buy. (In fact, Friskies often goes for about the same price in some drug stores). Very important: the cat eats the whole can (no left over as with some other brands I tried) and there have been no ill effects (diarrhea, vomiting, etc). It even looks like real food...the amount of gravy is a plus in my opinion, it looks clear and like real juice not that "jello" consistency I see in others, including Wellness. So far I am happy, the cat seems happy and I am saving a few cents on every can.
As with the other reviewer, I had never heard of this food or brand until my pet store provided me with a sample of the dry food. While I found no reviews I took a chance on the canned variety and am glad to recommend it to others who wish for a healthy canned food that is slightly less expensive than most on the market.

When we adopted our cat, she had spent 9 months in a cage at the humane society. She was scrawny, cranky, and not happy. We went to an all natural pet store, and the woman suggested this type of food. At that store, we paid nearly $30 for a small bag that lasted maybe a month or two.
But, this food was like a miricle! Our cat perked up, started playing, was curious and happy. Her coat was shining. She was like a new cat.
Something else awesome? Her poop doesn't smell nearly as bad as it did with regular, crap-filled food.
This stuff is amazing. Why only 4 stars, then? The price. This is one of the best prices I've found for this type of cat food, but the brand itself is very expensive. But, our cat is part of our family, it's worth it.

I used to buy hikari Betta pellets for my bettas and they loved them, so I had a lot of confidence in Hikari to produce a marine pellet that would be just as high quality.

We bought our Bergan Elevated Feeder from PetSmart roughly a year ago after learning that our growing Doberman could develop stomach twisting from bending over so far to eat since they have such large chests... Needless to say, this has been a wonderful product for us! If you know Dobermans at all you know they can be pretty rowdy puppies.. and LARGE ones at that! Our Fritz is now 16 months old and weighs 90 lbs and eats out of his bowl several times a day and we have had zero problems with it. Since we bought the bowl stand at the store it was already assembled and we have had no problems with the legs being flimsy or trying to come off (as stated in other reviews). We've even packed the assembly in the car and traveled with no problem (and honestly I didn't know the legs could come off!). Also, ours is not up against the wall and stands alone with no problems at all, although, we do have tile floors and sometimes the stand tries to scoot a little (if we feed can or something that takes a lot of licking) but we have remedied this by putting a small washable kitchen/door rug under the front two legs.. this also helps catch water drips and spilled food and I can throw it in the washer when it gets dirty. I'm not sure why the other reviewer stated that the bowls were not heavy quality enough... We have had no problem with them as they just sit in the stand and are not used as play toys... I think they are plenty heavy and good quality, they are stainless steel and you can even take them out and run through the dish washer. I think this is a great product and am looking to buy another one in the very near future as we are getting another Doberman puppy in about a month. I'm going to check the measurements but am considering getting the larger one next time as Fritz is quite a bit larger and taller than we expected.. (hopefully the little girl won't get so big!)

FYI, the chicken/tuna flavor is not a pate, but a lot of Dave's other flavors are. Shipment from this vendor took a week or more, but it ended up just as cheap as from other sources.

I weaned my 3 cats from a Science Diet menu that they've been on for the past 2+ years. I've been disgusted with the whole pet food debacle of late and figured that if I could treat my diet well that my cats deserved the same. The cats were not keen on the Newmans right away. In fact, they would pick through the mixture and deposit the Newmans on the floor and continue to eat only the Science Diet until I finally transitioned them over 3 weeks onto only Newmans.
The things I've noticed -they are not eating the same quantity of food. I have a bowl that sits out all the time and so they are free to eat when they want. I add 1/2 cup increments throughout the day. They seem to enjoy the food the best when it is first put in the bowl not wanting to eat the stuff that's been in there for 12 hours or more. I've been keeping track of their weight as I was worried about weight loss from not eating but they are all the same weight as before.
The litter habits have decreased. The two youngest cats used to use the litter box twice a day but now only once. I read on Newmans website that the digestive system can take up to 2-3 months to acclimate itself to the new diet. The only downfall for this food is the accessibility. I can easily get it at Whole Foods here in Florida if I'm in a rush (if they have it!) but when I return to my summer home in the middle of nowhere i'll be forced to order it online. Just checked today and most places don't have it in stock now.
Other things worth mentioning my cats never had fur balls on the Science Diet. There have been 3 fur balls in the past 4 weeks with the Newmans. Also, the cats fur tends to be a little drier than on the S.D. Other than that, i'm happy for the moment with the Newmans and have recommended it my friends.

My cat has crazy allergies, is an extremely picky eater, and has urinary crystals. He is making my vet a very wealthy woman. I had tried the Royal Cain and the Hills urinary dry food. He hated them both and they gave him the runs, which he tracked through the house. Plus they were expensive and rarely in stock at my old veterinary clinic. I gave this a try and he loved it. My cat takes two types of heart medication; one is a small pill and the other is made up of divided granules from a human-sized capsule. I am always on the lookout for soft, pliable treats in which to insert her meds. Until I had picked up a bag of these treats, I had been using Whisker Lickins Tender Moments treats. However, those can get dried out by the time you get to the last half to third of the bag, rendering them useless for the pills. These are very soft, and while they're more expensive than other low-end brands, they stay fairly soft, even down to the last one. They're also much less expensive than Pill Pockets and can be bought in more retail outlets. The extra benefit of helping with hairballs is yet another plus!

I got this toy for my heavy chewer to keep him busy. The giggle noise terrified him (a few months ago he was scared of everything though). I purchased this for our annoying new rescue cat as adorable as he is, he demanded food every morning at 4am, without fail. I have no idea how his previous owners organized his food schedule (who would feed a cat at four?), but I was getting pretty tired of being woken up by constant meowing, headbutting, and running back and forth from the closet (where the food is kept) to my head.
Fortunately, amazon was here to rescue me, with this automatic feeder! I don't use the ice part, though I suppose that's handy I use dry food for him, so no worries there. I mostly purchased it because this one was the smallest automatic feeder I could find, that was also not very tall I wanted to place it on a certain shelf in my closet that the cat could access, but the dog couldn't.
It works great, most of the time! I am highly entertained by the feature that allows you to record a message to alert the animal that it's food time, and change it every 4 days (when it's refill time anyways). Sometimes it doesn't open at the correct time once I've set it, which is annoying for both me and the cat, but that generally only happens on day 1 after I've refilled it so it could be user error or a weird quirk. Generally, however, it works wonderfully, and I do recommend it!
