This product is not for containing an animal like a fence, but for scaring them away from a certain spot. I am using it to keep my chronic poop eater dog away from the cat litter boxes. Works like a charm! I like that it is just noise, not a painful shock, and also the loud alarm lets me know when he's trying, so I can come reinforce the warning.
