This food, together with a small amount of sunflower seed, forms the basic diet for my 8 birds. Safflower is an excellent seed for birds and this food has an abundance of it. It is also priced well, and I cannot get it locally. All of my birds are in perfect feather--not a plucker among them. I attribute this to a healthful diet: they get Safflower Gold everyday as their basic food.
