I purchased this product for my parents' dogs. I had taken one of my own cats to the vet because of weight loss. I was worried about worms causing the problem and had used this product at another pet owner's recommendation. Despite a flea problem we were battling, my cat tested negative for worms. I told the vet I had used this product and she gave it a thumbs up and said that this product was the reason my cat had tested negative. When it came time to address this issue with the dogs, I went to this product without hesitation. If you have fleas, you probably have worms. Fleas are a vector (carrier) for worms. If you have mice, there's a good chance they are bringing fleas into the house. You need to address the flea problem as well as the worms or the fleas will just re-infest the pet with more worms. Our little mini-pinscher required only one pill, one dose. Our pitbull-hound mix, weighing about 40 lbs, required 4 tablets, and only one dose. This medication does do it's job with one dose *if* you do not have a situation where fleas are continually re-infesting your pet with worms.
