I bought this product because I don't use my house utencils for cat food and my other one wore out. This one is very sturdy and the handle is long but the food doesn't slide off it easily and therefore you would have to touch the cat food. For me, that's the main issue with this spoon; I don't want to touch the food and with my other cat food spoon, I could shake it and it would slide off onto the plate. Other then that it's very well made and good for those tall food cans.
