I have purchased multiple 1 inch soy leashes by New Earth and have been very pleased with them. The hardware is very substantial, the leash is super soft, easy on hands and dog's shoulder. The colors are pretty, and look great with the matching collars. We are using our leashes on a mature 83 pound labradoodle who has no desire to eat his leashes these days, so that has not been a concern of ours. The loose weave which makes the leashes so nice and soft does probably make them easier to chew than, say, one of the very tightly woven leashes by Bison. So, perhaps if you have a puppy that will be allowed sustained access to his leash, there may be chewing concerns. If you have a mature dog, you may love the soft hand of these soy leashes. We've been using our leashes for several months now, and see no signs of wear.
