While, yes, it's just a tube with some hay and flowers in it, the piggies love them. I re-stuff them with hay as soon as they get emptied so the pigs don't pee in the tubes. We have the bottoms of their cages covered with hay as bedding, but this keeps the hay-for-eating clean, accessible, and seems to interest them much more than just picking hay off the bottom of the cage.
A couple of the guineas were scared of the tube (2 out of seven pigs.) If your piggy is very timid, this might not work, but for the ones who like it, they really like it.
Either size works fine, the guinea pig size or the rabbit size.
