I've purchased other slow-eating dog food bowls since, and it's worth paying the extra $. This bowl is okay, but not worth the $8: it slides around a lot, and there aren't enough obstacles to effectively slow down my dog's eating. I invested the $30 in a competitor's bowl, and it was worth it. If the goal is to lengthen the amount of time your dog eats, this bowl doesn't really do the trick. Keep to a "normal" bowl, or invest the extra $20 and get the one that really does the job.
