I am not sure what the deal is with this Iams food.
It was offered at a great price at the beginning of July, and we ordered three cases.
How bad could it be, with a company who had a good reputation, and it was chicken flavor,
our cats' favorite food flavor?
However, the delivery date has been moved endlessly, saying it was out of stock.
It was in stock when it was double the price we ordered it for, but funny how
they can't quite find enough stock to fill the discounted orders!
We've had the delivery date extended now for our July 3rd purchase pushed back until
the middle of August, but i am not holding my breath. It is listed as out of stock again
today, July 30th, so they seem to be having a lot of problems.
Sure makes the company seem shady, and not sure why Amazon has not addressed the issue
better, dealing with the manufacturer to fulfill customer orders.
I will be more than happy to come back and review how much the cats liked the food,
should we ever actually receive any of it.
UPDATE:
Aug 13, the item shows in stock on two different listings, both sold and shipped by Amazon
(as opposed to an individual seller), yet none of our orders have been filled yet. It has now been close to six weeks since ordering, and we still have no order fulfillment. It appears as though they do not intend on honor the discounted price originally offered. I can't think of any other reason to be able to order it at full price now, but my discounted orders go unfilled. VERY disappointing.
LATEST UPDATE: Delivery date moved AGAIN, now October 1st!
I would be a lot more understanding if it wasn't for the fact that Amazon is selling this exact same food at full price and offering a two-day Prime delivery service. So, seems like it is in stock for the ones who pay full price, and endlessly on hold for those who caught the sale pricing.
