I care for a cat that must be kept on a canned food diet for health reasons. The food that we have been using is IAMS proactive health adult cat food--the Pacific salmon variety. It has been difficult to get a sufficient number of cans at Petco and Petsmart, so I began ordering it from Amazon, and have done so 4 times. As I was placing an order for it today, I saw that the website has significant mistakes on the description of the product under more than one vendor (e.g. title of product is salmon pate, but description will call it beef pate). Then I further realized that on the most recent cat food order I received, the wrong product was sent, unbeknownst to me. I just noticed that I have been feeding the cat IAMS premium cat food pate with Savory Salmon, when what I had ordered was IAMS proactive health pate with Pacific salmon. Now I know why the cat has had diarrhea for the past week! I've inadvertently used seven cans (of 12), so I can't exactly return my order. Had my order still been complete, I would return it to Amazon, as, my experience with them is that they are very good about correcting mistakes. The two IAMS cat food varieties mentioned above come in cans that are similar-looking, and they are both salmon varieties, so when I received my most recent order, I just thought that the company had slightly changed the labeling. Looking back at my order history, I consistently have ordered the correct variety, so the mistake is with Amazon and/or its vendor.
