I'm flying from the United States to Canada with my dog and when I booked my flight I was informed that new regulations were coming into effect May 1st of this year. Namely that now all animals flying in cargo MUST be in a crate whose top is attached to the bottom by bolts/screws (not snaps) and that bowls MUST be attached to the crate (not lying around haphazardly inside) for both food and water. No more water bottles.
These were decently priced and arrived with time to spare for our flight. They're pretty sizeable and would suit most breeds of 40lbs or less. I like how thick and sturdy they are. My dog can be a chewer and I'm confident that if he goes to town on these they won't just fall apart within minutes. The screw onto the metal door of his crate very securely, although, as another reviewer mentioned, the ends of the screws do protrude outwards about an inch. This isn't a problem for us, but it's something to mind if you have small children or for when you're transporting the crate.
All in all a good value for a quality product that has now become mandatory for air travel with pets.
