These bags work well for sending food with your dog to boarding and for traveling with your dog. I have another brand that I like a little better because it is lined this one is a porous fabric so some of the oils from the dog food do soak into it leaving stains and it probably wouldnt keep the food fresh long term. I still like the bag a lot for the uses I listed and it is a good size for our one Great Dane that only eats 3 cups a day it held enough food for 10 days of road trip perfectly (so 30 cups).

Like many cats, mine had great problems with hair balls. I used several products which contain petroleum jelly or mineral oil, which didn't work, and might have made him worse. When my cat coughed up six furballs on my back step in one morning, I knew I'd better try something else.
I found Cat Lube from Natural Care (renamed Hairball Aid, bummer that!), which has an enzyme to help digest the fur, marshmallow root to sooth the stomach and intestinal tract, and slippery elm bark to "grease the skids". My cat is much more comfortable, and rarely has problems any more. I recommend this product without reservation.

I adopted a cat about 8 months ago from the Humane Society, and discovered pretty quickly that he did great on canned foods, but dry foods would always give him loose stools if not diarrhea. I'm fine with feeding wet only for the most part; after all cats do need a wet diet and dry foods are mainly just a convenience product. But that being said, sometimes I'd like to have a getaway for 24-48 hours without having to arrange a pet sitter for such a short time. Any longer than that and of course I'd have someone come to look after him, or take him with me. I tried several brands of dry foods which were supposed to be premium, including Eagle pack Ocean fish flavor, Innova EVO, California Natural with Chicken and Rice (also made by Innova), and Blue Buffalo. He couldn't digest any of them and I ended up donating all of them back to the Humane Society. I finally quit experimenting and did what I should have done to begin with, called the vet. They suggested I come in for some free samples of food, and I was given Eagle Pack chicken and rice, which the vet recommends for diarrhea-prone cats (and canine formula for dogs). I literally cringed when I put a small handfull of it on top of his wet food for the first time. Even the Eagle Pack ocean fish formula hadn't worked for my boy, but I've since learned that too much fish doesn't sit well with him. I was so sure the Chicken formula would result in horrible, watery diarrhea too, but it did not! His stools are really solid with this food, and I can tell he's feeling good too, by the way he cuddles and plays--he's older and the least playful cat I've ever seen, so for him to attack my leg is actually a big deal. I don't understand why this food works for him when the Innova chicken/rice formula didn't, but I do have faith in Eagle Pack. It's good quality, locally produced (at least for me), reasonably priced at my small local food store, and the ingredients all come from the USA instead of China.
Against The Grain Chicken Pumpkin Samba Canned Cat Food 24/2.8 oz
This food causes foul-smelling diarrhea in one of my cats and poorer quality stool in the other. The ingredient I find to be causal, based on feeding tests, is tapioca. Tapioca is a type of carbohydrate. Cats often do not digest carbohydrates well, as cats have shorter digestive tracts and are obligate carnivores. What is likely happening in my very sensitive cat is osmotic diarrhea and carbohydrate malabsorption. After eliminating foods with potato starch and tapioca, she has started to regain weight lost from her bout with diarrhea (took me awhile to figure it out via feeding tests).
Cats with IBD often achieve remission via dietary elimination of grains AND other carbohydrate sources. In addition to tapioca, I have found potato starch (in other foods to be another diarrhea trigger). What cat in the wild would eat tapioca or a potato?
Wysong, a pet food manufacturer, has taken a strong stance against tapioca. They say it is a "poor substitute for grains," high in sugar, and also associated with toxins. They say that pet food manufacturers often tout "no grain" to "imply that the grains have been replaced by a superior ingredient" when Wysong goes on to say they have not. Note: I don't feed Wysong food to my cats as they include things like corn and rice in their canned food options. (I do not feed kibble as it is problematic in cats with IBD --and usually contains excessive carbohydrates that are needed for kibble to hold its shape.)
I imagine many cats would tolerate this food. I don't have issue with any other ingredients. The chicken looks nice and is in a gravy (created with the tapioca). There are bits of pumpkin that can be used to help with diarrhea and/or constipation.
I do think (if one's cat tolerates this food) that one should consider long-term impact of carbohydrates in terms of raising IBD and diabetes risk. Both diseases are on the rise in pet cats. When considering cat anatomy and many of the foods cats eat, how can we be surprised?
This food is formulated (as are most pet foods) to meet nutritional guidelines set by the AAFCO. Many pet owners are surprised to learn that clinical studies are not done with most pet foods. --They are just formulated. It's less costly.
This food, like many today, is made in Thailand.
I think the manufacturer should consider foods like TikiCat that are similar and made without a gravy --rather a broth. No need for tapioca or potato starch to make a broth.

I bought this bowl for my cat. Initially I was very nervous as I had read a couple of other reviews saying that it was too big for cats, but honestly there aren't a lot of choices on Amazon for this style of pet bowl, so I picked it up anyway.
I got it in the mail yesterday and all my worries were put to rest. Unless you have a teeny, tiny cat, this bowl is just the right size. It holds a good serving of food without threatening to overflow. It also looks very clean and streamlined, unlike my previous pottery-style bowls which tended to look very clunky and silly.
The functionality of the non-skid on the bottom is just a delight. I put it down on the linoleum and was very gratified to hear and feel it thump straight down without sliding at all. The cat ate voraciously out of it last night and it didn't move an inch.

I was a little hesitant to get this bowl because of no other reviews. Lucky for me I took the chance! The bowls are really good size and well made. The first time I went to clean them, I was a little confused because the bowels are stuck to the green bone. If you pull hard enough it will unstick...wash them and just press them back down to re-stick them. The color is bright green which is exactly what I was looking for. The description suggests doing wet-dry-water but we did it a little differently. We already have a water fountain for our three cats so we used this as a dry food feeder. As all cats are persnickety at first, ours were too but once they were hungry enough they took to it right away. The mess seems to be greatly reduced too versus feeding them bowls flat on the floor.

My dog FREAKS out over thunderstorms, and living in Iowawe get a lot of spring and summer storms. She shakes, pants, digs, climbs on my bedand there is no calming her down. She shakes so hard that I worry she will have a heart attack. We have literally tried EVERYTHING! From the thunder shirt to all the drugs from the vet to melatonin... everything. Then late one night I was up with her during a storm (she doesn't let me sleep when she is freaking out) and I was looking up more remedies. This morning as a thunderstorm started she woke me up, I gave her some RR and she went back to sleep... it is still thundering and she is off somewhere sleeping.
The bottle seems small at first but our first bottle has lasted 3-4 months and we just order 3 more bottles to prepare for spring/summer storms.

I have been using this dry food recipe for five years on five different cats and they are in excellent health.
First and foremost, they all love it. That is an important point because the best of food will not be of much use if the cats will not eat it. In addition, as a former veterinary scientist, I study the composition, not the advertising prose. In my opinion, the lamb is the best because of the nigher meat to fat ratio. [the chicken version is mostly offal with an unhealthy fat content, not to mention other ingredients].
My cats are mostly indoor dwellers and this lamb recipe provides both leaner meat and dietary fibers. I occasionally mix a little "Indoor cat" dry food to boost up the fiber content and all is well.

You want to tame your cat? This cat food is serious "cat will follow you anywhere" food. We give Smokey half in the morning and half at night, and he's good to go. It's a ritual and you better not forget cause they won't. My cat actually says muffin when he wants Whiskas. Long story, the neighbor made hot bran muffins for us, well Smokey could smell them through the house, and absolutely loved them. He was very young and to this date, he still comes running when I say muffin. This was even before Whiskas, but now it's Whiskas he wants when I say muffin; he has this schedule 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Now this cat isn't controlling or anything but he has the dog on the same schedule too. I'd say are you doing okay? He sounded exactly like a yeah. I'd ask him anything and it was yeah. He also does what sounds like ought oh. When you walk by him he acknowledges you with an "eh?" Then he tries to make all types of sounds each responding to words I say. Of course they don't all sound like words. This cat really wants to have a conversation, and once you've talked to him and he acknowledges you and responds with his sounds, then he is satisfied and goes his way. He also has to sit right next to you. That doesn't mean he wants to be bothered. He just wants to be close. If you hurt yourself, he will try and get as close to that area and warm it up for you. I hurt my leg and he wanted to lay on that specific area over the covers. It's like he has this meter that tells him where the hurt is so he can help heal it. For a cat that was born in the wild and very very shy, Whiskas allowed him to warm up to us and show his special personality. :) This is a loving and innocent little creature, unlike other cats I've seen. He's been attacked twice by other cats because he's not a fighter. With a little doctoring and some prayers he made it through it. He seems like a little angel. I'm glad we found Whiskas cause it makes him happy. My dog loves Whiskas too, unfortunately he tries to steal Smokey's food. Smokey leaves a little so the dog will have some. :) Another Whiskas story.
