Loving Pets No-Tip with Etched Lines Bowl for Dogs and Cats

These bowls arrived smelling like tires from a factory. The paint job was atrocious; after I washed them I noticed residual spray paint on the inner part of the bowl itself. I refuse to feed my cats out of this bowl for fear the spray paint will leach into their food. Don't waste your money on this product; go to the thrift store and buy some used bowls instead; your cat will be better off.

Jake and Dexter are large and strong Alaskan Malamute and Alaskan/Siberian Husky, respectively. They are smart, adventurous, and make King Lear's rant on the heath seem like just another day at the water park. After researching several types of leashes, I've concluded that this one is best. Again, let me emphasize the fact that both of these dogs are sled dogs: the Mals are usually in the back because of their incredible power and the fact that they don't take orders very well at all, unlike the Huskies who are a little better at listening to commands and so are put in the lead. Indeed, you do have to pick your battles with these dogs, especially the Mals; you have to let them make their own decisions (most of the time); because they're so intelligent and social, to be too domineering would really hurt them. (Neither dog is one for an owner who expects their dog(s) to perform on command.)

But I digress as I often do when talking about my dogs! Because of the bungee-cord-like material this leash is made of, the dogs can pull but I can still maintain control. As with any two-lead leash, this product is not for the frail or the impatient. But if I can control Jake and Dexter on it with relative comfort, I think I could control any two dogs with this leash.

Excellent product! I feed my 2 cats grain-free foods after discovering that the "urinary infections" one had been having was actually an allergy to glutens and grains, both the major sources of protein in most pet foods because it's cheap and has a long shelf life. The vet tried selling me expensive "prescription" foods, but those have the same ingredients, just three times the cost. There are a number of good choices of grain-free foods out now, so your cat can enjoy some variety, though they like consistency and i always introduce a new food mixed in slowly with familiar ones. The chief advantage of this one for my cats is the shape of the pieces. It is a star shape, which causes them to eat it more slowly than the little disc shapes of many foods. The discs are often swallowed whole and then regurgitated, so the cat doesn't get the nourishment and you get the mess. I will say one more thing about this brandit's well digested and tolerated. Pardon my saying it, but some of the super concentrated high protein foods cause an amazingly bad smell in the litter pan. This one actually helped my gluten allergic cat have a little firmer stool consistency and doesn't leave my eyes watering from the odor. Finally and importantly, the cats eat it up, often even when i give them some canned food alongside it. They really like it. I will be buying Precise Chicken Formula for as long as they make it. It's good for cats.

I purchased these for friends who bake for their dogs. They both love them and the "cakes" they make come out evenly baked. Although the bowls are advertised as a travel bowl, the sides are indeed a bit flimsy if you were to fill them up to the top with water. They are still good for travel for a quick drink or meal feeding. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe.

My Isis loves salmon so I always buy food that contains salmon as the ingredient. When I visited PetSmart and saw Nature's Recipe I gave it try, it has salmon as the main ingredient and it had no meat-by-products or fillers very important to watch!

She loves it!! before she would only eat at night and during the day she would eat more Whiskas Temptations snacks which all the cats seem to be highly addicted to, but ever since she tried Nature's Recipe with Salmon, she eats it during the day and night i make sure to watch her weight but the bowl is empty the next day!! and she's eats less snacks during the day even better!! I just purchased a second bag today and the lady at the store only found at Pet Stores told me that this is a very popular brand among cat owners especially the salmon recipe true I noticed the shelves were almost empty. I'll continue to purchase this one for her. The price is reasonable too and at the store they always have a special offer going on! Check it Out!! They also have Nature's Recipe for Dogs :D

I have never written a review before on any product. With that said, I felt compelled to share my opinion on this wonderful product. I have two very active JRT's that love to run in the woods. I always kept them on chemical tick "preventatives" due to living in PA (one of if not the most tick infested states), yet my one little guy got Lymes Disease. The vet said we needed to periodically switch brands... something that they never bothered to mention all the years we went to them. I started looking for alternatives and decided to give this a try. That was over a year ago. The vet hates to hear that something natural is working... but the truth is we have not had one tick on our dogs in all that time. They go in our back woods everyday and are checked daily. Please try this if you are looking for a natural, cost effective alternative. You may very well be pleasantly surprised!

I've been feeding my cats this food for over a year now but this case was different. When I opened my first can the consistency was completely different, waterey more than normal, smelled different & the color is different. I compared it to a can from another case that I had & it was completely different. I almost wonder if it sat in a warehouse in the heat all summer, it looked like it was boiled. My stupid dog, after eating a whole athletic sock (which led to a surgical sock-ectomy) and now having a sensitive stomach, was on a diet of Pedigree Healthy Digestion and green beans (or weight). He'd been eating a lot of grass and vomiting on a regular basis (no sock involved), so we thought we'd try another/better food to see if it made a difference. Soulistic Polynesian Picnic Chicken & Tilapia Dinner Adult Canned

I work very hard to find grain-free dry and canned cat food at various suppliers/stores. I generally mix them together so my cats don't get stuck on one brand.

The Petco stores near me or sold Soulistic, a brand that not only do all my cats tolerate (no upchucked surprises) and love but it's one of the few canned foods I've found that have actual chunks of meat in them instead of an homogenous "paste".

I've tried feeding my cats both the gelee and the gravy versions. Hands down, they prefer the gelee ones. I've purchased the Soulistic brand for over a year now. The furbaby crew and I have been very happy with the product.

The closest Petco to me replaced Soulistic with a different grain-free product. So I'll now buy Soulistic through Amazon.

One of my cats is a picky eater and this is the only wet food that she will willingly eat. One thing I do not like about this food is that if there are any bits left on the dish when it goes into the dishwasher, they turn into tiny, pale, stringy pieces that clog up the holes in the dishwasher's sprayer arm.

I am also disappointed that Fancy Feast uses general meat by-products (it's not specifically chicken or turkey or beef...it could be a mixture of anything!) and they add cheap, synthetic vitamin K3 (menadione sodium bisulfite complex) to their food. They should be able to use higher quality ingredients with the way the Elegant Medleys line is priced. Because of this I am trying to find a new favorite for my cat.

Purina ONE Salmon and Tuna Flavor Cat Food

I switched to Purina One about a month ago. I used to feed my cats Meow Mix. My one cat was losing her hair and I attributed it to stress (we recently adopted two dogs into our family). On a whim I picked up some purina one to see if my kitties would eat it. They are very fussy! To my surprise they love it. Even more importantly is that my kitties hair has all grown back. I am amazed at how soft, shiny and silky the kitties coats have become since I started feeding them purina one. I highly recomend it. My jasmine even seems happier and more friendly. Probably because her skin is no longer bothering her.

My two cats are very picky eaters. Up until recently, I was feeding them Royal Canin indoor cat formula. They loved the food, but one of the cats had constant diarrhea and bathroom problems, and the other would occasionally throw up undigested kibble. I began to research the food they were eating and kept finding a bunch of reviews about how the food is garbage for cats and very overpriced for what you get. I tried converting them to different types of wet food, and also a version of a Blue Buffalo cat food. They would not touch anything else and refused to eat. A couple of days ago I decided to try again, this time with Spot's Stew for Sensitive Cats in Turkey. From the time I opened the bag to when it was in their bowl, they showed interest in it. I guess the recipe is very attractive to cats. I've slowly begun mixing it in with their old food and hope that they will be fully transitioned within a few weeks. They don't show any aversion to the new food. In fact, I think they're going to the bowl more often. They almost never finished their daily portions (I follow the food portion charts) before, and now they do. I also have not experienced any sensitive stomach problems from either of them during the transition. I have my fingers crossed that this will be the food I was looking for. So far it's a keeper.

Update a year later: My cats are still very much enjoying this food. The one that was throwing up undigested kibble hasn't done it since being switched. The other that had constant diarrhea and bathroom problems has also completely changed. They also seem much more energetic and playful than they were with the old food which also means they get into EVERYTHING but a healthy, happy cat makes me a happy owner. Thanks so much Halo! I couldn't recommend this food more.

Okay so I keep hearing my siamese mix needs to lose a lb. It has been over a year and we have only gotten 1/4 lb. off his beautiful fat frame. My other four cats do not have a problem eating the same food, exercising the same amount and all are healthy. So naturally I am a bit embarrassed and perplexed to have a fat cat!

I now load up 3 Slimcat balls in the morning instead of free feeding kibble. They get dehydrated raw cat food for dinner (healthy) and for a snack after dinner and if anyone gets the late nite bunchies, instead of snacking on our toes in bed, they can just to roll a ball around and be exercising at the same time. Our fat cat was throwing up food as soon as he ate the kibble before we introduced the Slimcat. See, when you free feed a cat who is always ravenous, they will waste your money because they eat too fast!!!

And so, no doubt we have made up for the cost of the balls with our cats eating less kibble and not throwing it up as much ;)

Purchase one in every color and give them to your friends!!! I also load one with catnip every now and then and leave the ball on the smallest opening. Cats like eating catnip! I put wheatgrass in there too and they eat that along with the catnip. And if you are feeling naughty, you can fill two Slimcats and load another with 1/2 of a load and leave the holes closed that way your cat will hunt awhile before realizing they are not going to get the food out of it. Please don't think I am a bad Mom! Kids watch tv, my kitties get a closed Slimcat every now. It keeps them busy and active. Whatever works! Slimcat does!

Are your cats getting sick? Mine were vomiting and I finally traced it back to the salmon cat food. But it's not the salmon, it's the dye they put in the salmon. Some cats simply can't tolerate it. Three of my seven were that way. If you see this happening, there's a pretty good chance that your cat has an intolerance to the dye as well.
